With a total of 30 full-serviced, hardstanding level pitches, which include 16Amp electric, grey water drain, 2 mains water taps, TV reception, very good free Wi-Fi, excellent 4G & mobile phone signal and an award winning eco, modern shower block, it is home from home!
Low Rigg Field has 14 pitches. This field is very close to the amenities. It has an open sunny position. This field is popular for short and long stays. Pitches are easily accessible, especially for longer units and twin axle
High Rigg Field has 16 pitches. This field is popular for guests wanting a quiet location. Each pitch has stunning views of the Skiddaw and Blencathra Mountain range.
Prices are based on up to 2 adults per pitch per night. A pitch cost is inclusive of amenities in our award-winning shower block. There are no hidden costs for awnings or showers.
Low Rigg and High Rigg fields are pet friendly fields and there is dog walk, which takes you through Burns Farm towards a small lake called Tewet Tarn, the jewel in our crown.
Party groups are not permitted!

Low Rigg - pitches 1-14
High Rigg - pitches 15-30
The fullyserviced field are divided into two small fields. They are named after two local mountains, Low Rigg & High Rigg.
The pitches are suitable for caravans & motorhomes / campervans. The pitches are flat and easily accessible. The 8-metres wide level pitches are made up of a 5-metre-wide gravel area and a 3-metre-wide grass area. Awnings or tents must be less than 3-metres wide to fit. Rock pegs or strong pegs are recommended for gravel.
All the pitches include 16-amp electric, mains water, grey water drain, free Wi-Fi, and a wooden picnic bench. Guests grass area is to the right of each pitch as you look onto your pitch.
Please note: The 3-metre grass area is a fire-brake between pitches. As per our fire regs you must not put an awning or a tent on the grass area of the pitch. The gravel area of the pitch is 5-metres wide only, the unit and awning must fit this area. If you are a campervan with a wide awning, you can either put the awning on the gravel at the back of the pitch and the unit, campervan to the front, or choose one of our non-electric grass 8-metre wide pitches on our camfield’s. Charging lockers are available to rent for up to 12 hours for £3.
As per our fire regs we do not permit guest to use fire pits or BBQ with open flame on the Low Rigg or High Rigg pitches. Gas firepits are permitted. BBQ on legs is also permitted. We don’t allow disposable BBQ on site.
Cost: based on pitch for up to 2 adults per night. Availability and prices including minimum night’s stay can be found on our booking system at the time of booking. We reserve the right to change minimum nights stays, subject to availability. We do not allocate booking; the system will allocate your pitch
Once a booking is placed on the system, you will receive a confirmation email stating the name of the field booked. We reserve the right to change pitch numbers subject to availability or maintained.
You will receive an arrival email the day before you arrive with the field you have booked and your pitch number. Information for arrival including key code for toilet block main door, WI-FI code and contact telephone numbers and information on site rules.

Our Site Amenities
- New underfloor heated award winning shower block. The eco block is heated by a highly sustainable Biomass boiler.
- 2 disabled facilities opened with a Radar Key.
- Baby changing facilities.
- Charging Lockers to rent. Keys available at reception.
- Ice pack freezing facility for your ice box, please bring your own named ice packs.
- Laundry facilities, 2 washers and 2 dryers. Iron and ironing board. Coin operated.
- Small shop to open in the reception area for Summer.

BOOK LOW RIGG PITCHES
14 fully serviced flat pitches, numbered 1 – 14. These pitches have lovely views of Blencathra, Helvellyn and High and Low Rigg, they are also perfect for guests who like the evening sun. There is very good access to these pitches making them easy to manoeuvre in and out of. The pitches are also allocated closer to all amenities.
BOOK HIGH RIGG PITCHES
16 fully serviced flat pitches, numbered 15 – 30. These pitches are in a quieter area of the site with lovely views of the surrounding fells. The access to these pitches is slightly tighter on some of the pitches and a motor-mover is recommended to manoeuvre in and out of them, but not essential. The pitches are allocated further from all amenities.
